Pink is magic; pink is lucky. The brighter, the better.

It's true, the FEMAN is hooked on pink.

Beginning in 2002 at Ironman Canada, the FEMAN changed his hair color for the race. He got plenty of attention and started a tradition. Now his co-workers and co-competitors expect it.

As long as he has hair, the tradition will continue.
In another demonstration of 'Pink Power' the FEMAN shows that he has the Halloween spirit.
Ironman Canada transition area and swim start.

This little crescent of beach is the starting point for however many thousands of participants there are for Ironman Canada.

Beginning in 2004, the main transition area was moved a short distance to the east. This is now the finish and medical support area.
Where's a sense of urgency?

Near the start of the Ironman Canada marathon, the FEMAN still has time to showboat for the camera and the energy to smile.
Some of the incredible outdoor wonders that the FEMAN and the Big J have encountered on their northwest travels.

This picture really needs to be viewed enlarged for the full impact.

The FEMAN and the Big J visited the Bugaboos to renew old memories. (See pictures here and here.)

Signs at the parking area warn of rampaging porcupines that will EAT UP your tires, fan belts, radiator hoses, etc. So, there's a ton of chicken wire, sticks, rocks, etc. So that you can wrap up your car.

Big J admires the finished product.
Living in the Pacific Northwest, snow is a rarity.

However, the winter of 2004 was a different story.

The FEMAN had to break out the heavy equipment to clear out his driveway. Truly, a once in a lifetime experience.
